FAQs

Do you tattoo minors?2019-01-13T18:28:52+00:00

Nope, only 18 and over.

Do you do coverups or reworks?2019-01-13T18:28:36+00:00

Sorry, but I don’t take on these sorts of projects.

Do you do small tattoos?2019-01-13T18:28:20+00:00

Usually I don’t. It depends on the specific project though. Send me an email and if I think the concept sounds like fun, I’ll let you know.

I sent you an email but got no response. What gives?2019-01-13T18:27:52+00:00

I try to check my emails every week. If it’s been longer than a month since you reached out to me and I haven’t responded, it’s either because you didn’t include all of the required information or because it’s not a tattoo project that I’m interested in taking on. I’m sorry for any inconvenience and hope that you understand that I can’t take on every project that is requested of me. If you think that there has been some sort of mistake and you believe that your project is aligned with what I normally do and have sent all the right info, feel free to send a second email just to make sure that the first one didn’t slip through the cracks. Thanks for your inquiry.

What kind of tattoos do you prefer to do?2019-01-13T18:27:25+00:00

The styles I enjoy most are black and grey realism, color portraiture, and illustrative / neotraditional tattoos done in color. Please refer to my portfolio to get an idea of what these styles look like. Once in a while I will do a tattoo that doesn’t fall into any of these categories. Please email to find out if I’m the right artist for your tattoo idea.

How long have you been tattooing?2019-01-13T18:27:03+00:00

I’ve been tattooing professionally since 2012.

How far out are you booked?2019-01-13T18:26:27+00:00

Usually I’m anywhere between three and four months out, although it varies depending on the time of year.

How do I get tattooed by you?2023-04-18T06:12:54+00:00

If you would like to get tattooed, send me an email that includes a brief description of the tattoo idea, a government issued photo ID, and a photograph of the area that will be tattooed. The easiest way to do so is through the contact page. If it’s a project that I’m interested in, I’ll reach out to you to set up a time to talk about details. Most of the time this will involve a face to face consultation if you live in Arizona. If you live out of state we can consult over the phone. Once we’ve both agreed to move forward with the project, you’ll pay a $300 deposit toward the tattoo to schedule your appointment. All deposits are non-refundable.

How much do you charge?2023-04-18T06:13:31+00:00

I charge every piece by the hour. My rate is $250 an hour. How long a piece will take depends on many factors. Price quotes are done on a case by case basis.

Where are you located?2019-01-13T18:25:32+00:00

I tattoo out of Gilbert, Arizona. The name of my tattoo shop is Dark Horse Tattoo Company.
